Dengese drum Congo

Dengese drum ekole Congo
„Among the Ndengese, the Totshi society occupies a privileged place, primarily because of its political powers. To its members is reserved the use of certain slit drums which are always decorated in the same manner. The walls are altered symbolically, with a slit a „mouth", terminating in „eyes", underlined by „eyebrows"; the two central circles are „breasts"."
